The Lodge of the White Rock has supported a number of non-Masonic charities and organisations over the years. Here are some of those to whom we have given supported: Individual help The lodge has supported a local lad who is suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy over the past couple of years. This year (2010) we have been to provide him with a new custom built wheelchair. TLC Teddies This provides teddy bears for children taken in the Accident and Emergency department of the Conquest Hospital. Now due to its success has been taken up by Provincial Grand Lodge for the whole of Sussex. RNLI Royal National Lifeboat Institution. This has received regular support from the Lodge as it is cause that is close to the Brethren. Homecall This is a charity that provides assistance to those with visual impairment to enable them to deal with everyday life. St Michael hospice This Hospice provides specialist palliative care for the people of Hastings and Rother. Demelza House This is the only children's residential hospice in Kent, East Sussex and South London providing a wide range of services to life-limited children.
